Dear Friends,
As many of you know Jill has moved to Michigan and will be unable to spend much time at the shop. After much soul searching we have decided to offer Kindred Spirits Yarn Studio for sale.
It is a lively, exciting and vibrant place to be. The bright and open shop includes a sitting area for classes and relaxation. We offer instruction in knitting, crocheting, spinning, weaving, felting and dyeing; and either stock or have readily available the necessary yarn, patterns, fiber and supplies. There is ample storage space, a kitchen of sorts and a very large gallery for workshops, meetings and larger classes.
We can only describe our customers as a circle of friends. They are supportive of our classes and activities and are eager to learn new techniques in all areas. They are willing to share what they learn and teach many of our classes. They attend and support our special events.
Franklin is a good location and is well-suited for a specialty store. It has many festivals and events throughout the year, a theater, orchestra, outdoor activities, lovely shops and several excellent restaurants. Kindred Spirits outgrew its first location in only one year and moved to its current location on 13th Street three years ago.
As the shop owners, we feel that we have learned as much from our customers/students as we hopefully have taught you. You have rewarded us for our efforts of creating this space with your continued support and enthusiasm. We feel we have made many new friends in the 4 years we have been here. We have also watched other friendships form from coming together and being with others who have the same interests or simply by meeting someone who happened to be shopping the same time you were. Our goal when we opened was to provide a space where people could learn and discover their own creative talents and the satisfaction of feeling how that empowers us. You have done the same for us. We all hope to continue teaching and designing so that we can continue to use the skills that you have helped us develop.
It is with regret that we are writing to you. And it is our hope that Kindred Spirits will sell quickly with as little disruption as possible. So we are asking for your help in finding a buyer – or buyers. Many of you may know someone interested in our wonderful store. If you do, please let them know of this opportunity. We are open to your thoughts and hope for an easy transition to new ownership.
