We have recently come back from a buying trip having ordered lots of new things for the store.  Brown Sheep has a new worsted weight variegated wool with the most affordable price we have found.  We have several lace weight yarns on order and already several new lace shawl patterns have arrived. 

Most originally, we ordered buffalo down fiber and yarn.  You must feel it to believe it.  Early in the fall we will be having a buffalo party to welcome our newest animal fiber to the shop. 

Girls Night Out and Fashion Show Video – As usual, for girl’s night out we will be having dinner at a local restaurant and then moving back to the store for knitting. While on our buying trip, we saw a wonderful fashion show.  We were able to obtain a tape of the show so that everyone can watch.   There is no fee but your own dinner.  Please let us know if you plan to attend so that we can make reservations.  Girl’s Night Out will be Friday, August 1.

Think Outside The Sox Contest

2008 is the year of the sock. Knitter’s Magazine and several of your favorite yarn companies are hosting a year long sock design competition. There are 26 categories and over $20,000 in prize money.
